³ Jesus addressed the legal experts and Pharisees, saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?”

⁴ But they were silent. So he took hold of the man, healed him, and let him go. ⁵ He said to them, “Which of you, if your son^[a] or an ox would fall into a well on a Sabbath day, would not immediately pull him out?”
